Welcome to the Patagonia Climb Session – a snapshot of the climbing community today.
Enjoy stories from climbers across the globe; covering competition training, epic expeditions and tips from skilled guides alongside inspiration from those who simply manage to squeeze climbing into their busy lives.
40 years ago our Festival was established by a group of climbers in a bid to share stories of climbing the most interesting rock across the globe and the Patagonia Climb Session holds this notion at the centre of its programme each year, whilst striving to make sure it is diverse and inclusive.
This year we bring to the stage:
Neil Gresham - is one of the world's best-known all round climbers. Neil joins us to share personal insights from his latest route Lexicon E11 7a at Pavey Ark. This is the hardest route Neil has ever set and he brings fascinating insights into how he trained for this challenge.
Leanora Volpe - incredible GB team paraclimber - who has battled a rare genetic connective tissue disorder to reach the top of her sport.
Aiden Roberts - one of the UK's youngest most promising boulderers, at age 16 he is already a European champion and a member of team GB!
Carlos Casas - the founder of Colour Up Bristol, who is working to make climbing more inclusive across the UK.
Kirsty Pallas - skilled mountain guide, experienced climber and an advocate for a more diverse outdoor community.
Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the session start time. This session will run for two hours.
