10am-11am Women’s+ Menopause Yoga
with Lou Curry
Bringing our awareness to the physical, mental and emotional needs of the body and thus moving, breathing, pausing and resting in a way that most supports us; with a focus on building strength, balance, mobility and coordination.
Bring your yoga mat if you have one and remember to wear comfortable clothing that enables you to move freely.
11:30am-12:30pm Women’s+ Drumming Circle
with Scout Phoenix
A joyful and inclusive drumming workshop, making music together; no experience needed!
1pm-2:30pm Thriving in Midlife - Inside and Outside
Angela White - ‘The Running Granny’ / endurance runner and promoter of healthy ageing
Beth Mason - founder of Move Me Happy/personal trainer, nutrition and mindset coach
Jayne Denney - wellbeing and menopause coach; cycling and walking enthusiast
Our three guest speakers will be talking about the impact and change of menopause on their lives and how their love of the outdoors has supported them
3pm-4pm The impact of stress and anxiety, including breath work practices to support
with Lou Curry and Dr Cath Munro
An interactive discussion as to how stress and anxiety affect the whole body, how to recognise signs that you may be stressed / anxious; and some breathwork practices that you may like to use in order to support yourself.
4pm (ish) Guided Social Walk to/around Kendal Castle
Led by Heidi Kearsey; and with menopause specialists available to talk to.
We'll be meeting at 4pm at Westmorland CrossFit before heading off on an easy and social walk towards Kendal Castle before heading back into town for a social gathering @ Handsome Bar
