Event Details

As the Arctic polar ice cap melts, reaching the North Pole has become increasingly dangerous. Yet an expedition of ordinary women from the Arab World and the West strap on skis and haul heaving sledges toward true North, against all odds and polar advice.

An incredible feature film documenting the Women's Euro-Arabian North Pole Expedition. Risking everything for true north.

An unlikely expedition of women including:

- a mirthful Muslim chaplain

- a shy French scientist

- a defiant Qatari princess

+ eight others - have set an audacious goal of skiing to the pole.

Exposure follows the team as they train over two years, and finally reach the high Arctic, where they navigate open leads of water, polar bear threats, and -40 degree temperatures in an extraordinary story of resilience and global citizenry.

Award-winning filmmaker Holly Morris (The Babushkas of Chernobyl) captures it all, from frostbite and polar bear threats, to sexism and self-doubt in this intimate story of resilience, survival and global citizenry.

This film will not be available on the Kendal Mountain Player.

"A beautiful documentary extolling the human spirit to conquer the unconquerable.... a story of suspense and thrills.... a visually stunning adventure to one of the most extreme locales in the world." -  filmthreat
