Welcome to the Patagonia Climb Session - a snapshot of the climbing community today.

Our Festival was established by a group of climbers in a bid to share stories of the most interesting routes across the globe and the Patagonia Climb Session holds this notion at the centre of its programme each year.

Building on the success of last year, join our brilliant co-hosts; Rob Greenwood of UKC and Team GB / Paris 2024 hopeful Molly Thompson-Smith as we hear stories from all types of climbers.

From record breaking ascents in the Lake District; setting up community groups; ascending through the route setting ranks; sailing across the Atlantic to reach Yosemite; and reaching for medals.

Climb Muz founder Siddrah Aslam and climber Shareena Rahman have set up this group with the mission of creating a safe and welcoming place for Muslim women and minorities to climb and encourage them to try a new sport.

Abbie Robinson is a British climber and Coach based in the North-East, where she is currently training to become a Sport Psychologist. She was diagnosed with Stargardt Macular Dystrophy at 17 and registered severely sight impaired.

Abbie competes for the GB Paraclimbing Team and, so far, has secured seven international gold medals (including three World Championship titles).

She is passionate about tackling the stigma around disability and encouraging other people with disabilities to get involved in sport.

Maximillian Milne, a.k.a Max The Future, took his first ever IFSC World Cup bouldering medal at the recent Brixen competition in Italy. The bright haired climber has been hailed as the bright future of British Climbing, with many titles and medals to his name as he continues to reach new heights within Team GB.

Carol Ng has been route setting for 7 years and has worked alongside the most renowned setters in the industry. In 2021 she was selected from a pool of talented individuals to take part in the GB Climbing Progression Route Setting Pilot. Since joining the pilot, her boulders have tested some of the best climbers in Britain and beyond, at events such as the GB Climbing Team Selection Day and The Climbing Works International Festival.

Séb Berthe joins us after an exciting few years involving big projects, big walls and wild escapades in pink leggings. He made waves by sailing from Europe to the US for his Yosemite season and we are delighted to welcome him to the stage for his first Festival appearance to talk about his climbing adventures.

Shane Ohly and Katie MacKay will be sharing their respective records of The Lakes Classic Rock Round. We are incredibly excited to have them both on stage for the first time ever to hear wild stories of how they set new and groundbreaking records in two very different styles.
