Join us for an exhilarating event featuring Dwayne Fields and Phoebe Smith from WeTwo, as they take to the stage to discuss the incredible impact of the #WeTwo Foundation. Discover how this amazing foundation has successfully taken underprivileged young people on expeditions to engage them in citizen science while planting enough trees to offset carbon emissions before each trip.

The #WeTwo Foundation is committed to diversifying the adventure industry and empowering everyone to achieve their goals. Their mission is to protect nature while giving back to the community.

About Dwayne Fields:

Dwayne came to North London from Jamaica at age six and had to adapt to a new life without the freedom he enjoyed on his tropical island. He became depressed and mixed up with the wrong crowd, but one incident in Hackney changed his life forever. A gun was pointed at him, he was shot at - at point-blank range. It misfired. Twice! He has also been a victim of gang knife crime when he was stabbed in the chest and stomach. He decided to inspire inner-city kids and in 2010 he walked to the Magnetic North Pole, becoming the first black Briton to achieve this feat. Since then, he has dedicated his life to helping urban youth through outdoor activities and has been awarded the ‘Freedom of the City of London’ for his efforts. He is a dedicated Ambassador for several organisations, including the Scout Association and the National Trust.

About Phoebe Smith:

Phoebe grew up in an area known as 'Costa Del Dole', where she was told she couldn't aspire to leave and pursue adventure. She discovered wild camping in Australia and has since become an extreme sleeping addict, going on solo adventures around the world. In 2014, she camped at all the extreme points of mainland Britain, solo, on consecutive nights. Phoebe uses her passion for sleeping wild to raise money for charities such as Centrepoint and the World Land Trust. She is an Ordnance Survey #GetOutside Champion, ambassador for the Big Canopy Campout and Wild Night Out, and president of the Long Distance Walkers Association. Phoebe is an award-winning travel writer, author, photographer, podcast host, and broadcaster who will be documenting Team #WeTwo's trip.
