Welcome to the adidas TERREX Running Session, a celebration of running and community with speakers from the worlds of fell, mountain, trail and road, hosted by the co-founder of Black Trail Runners and ultra runner Sabrina Pace-Humphreys, alongside fell runner and local primary school teacher Dan Duxbury.

Big news this year is that we’re excited to welcome adidas TERREX athlete Tom Evans to the stage. Tom’s astounding talent has become even more evident in recent seasons with a series of international wins and course records, including most recently the 2023 Western States Endurance Run 100-miler. We’ll be hearing about Tom’s training techniques, his ambition to complete the ‘impossible double’ of the WSER and UTMB back-to-back, and how he’s worked with adidas TERREX to develop a unique new shoe for ultra races.

Earlier this year, while planning this event, we had a few runners in mind and were absolutely amazed to discover a new book that featured all these people... and more! Even more exciting, ‘Why We Run’ by photographer Danielle Ledbury was yet to be published, so we agreed with Danielle to combine forces by hosting the official book launch and bringing contributors on stage. This beautiful book is a celebration of fell and trail running in the Lake District, featuring interviews with 28 vastly different runners, with one thing in common - their love for running in the Lakes.

Danielle will be joining us, along with several contributors from the book, including; 74 year old fell runner Lesley Malarkey; fell, trail, sky runners and coaches Brennan and Kat Townsend; ultra runner and member of Black Trail Runners Zukie Tandathu...

Stay tuned for more announcements for the session including further speakers and an exclusive film premiere...
