Sunrise Hike with My Adventure Date

Calling all singles!

Kick-start the day with a 5-km sunrise hike through Kendal led by My Adventure Date host, Ashlie Waite. Meet like minded festival goers and mutual adventurers with this social walk. The route involves some uphill walking and takes you on a mini explore of the town, capturing some of the local highlights Kendal has to offer.

The walk will end with a social at Farrers Coffee shop so you can reward yourself with a delicious warm drink and continue to chat or make your way to your next Festival event.

This is a moderately difficult walk that will take approximately 1h 45 mins, please meet at the activities meeting point in Abbot Hall Park, next to our Basecamp village. Suitable footwear with good grip such as walking boots or walking trainers required.

Ashlie Waite

Ashlie is originally from Kendal and she discovered her passion for hiking and exploring whilst searching for the love of her life. Longing to meet someone who shared her appreciation for the great outdoors and after years of online dating, she realised that she wasn’t going to find them in the traditional way - so she started going on activity dates and discovered something amazing.

Ashlie believes that we are the best version of ourselves when participating in an activity we enjoy. As a result, she created My Adventure Date - organising group activities, mainly hiking. Whether it's forming new friendships, romance or business connections, pushing personal boundaries and meeting new people can make any journey a memorable experience. Fast forward a year and Ashlie found the love of her life - their first date was a sunrise hike with plenty of disasters, a great 'getting to know you' date.

As part of this journey, she took on the challenge of becoming a qualified hill and moorland leader, leading groups for walks in the Peak District, Lake District and local to Altrincham.
