The legendary Petzl RocTrip has been touring the world for two decades. The concept is simple; bring together the best climbers from around the globe in an amazing but undeveloped area, add music, partying and a generally anarchic vibe, and see what happens. This formula has resulted in some of the best new climbing venues, and most entertaining climbing films, we’ve ever seen.

And, after an eight-year hiatus, this year the RocTrip was back with its most ambitious project yet!

In a fantastic new location, the small village Manikia in Greece, climbers gathered to support the Manikia Project; a non-profit organisation founded a committed group of locals who believe in Manikia’s extraordinary potential. The goal is to highlight outdoor activities in the region - climbing, hiking, cycling, caving, and swimming - with the idea that this will boost the region’s economy.

When Petzl heard of the project, and saw the potential of the area, the acres of unclimbed rock, the friendliness of the locals, they instantly knew… the RocTrip must come back!

So earlier this year an amazing team gathered in Manikia. Chris Sharma, Margo Hayes, Alex Megos, Dave Graham, Sasha DiGiulian, Dani Andrada, Edu Marin, Larissa Arce, Shaun Bailey, Anak Verhoeven, Neil Gresham, Nico Favresse, Sean Villenueva, Steve McClure, Conrad Anker and many more.

The result: an amazing new climbing area, and an amazing new film. The World Premiere will be at Kendal Mountain Festival and will feature Neil Gresham, Steve McClure, Tom Livingstone and Molly Thompson-Smith amongst others on stage to share their own tales. A true one-off, and not to be missed!
