Join us for an evening of inspiring tales from across the two wheeled world. From ultra distance challenges to running errands around town, from cargo bikes to e-bikes to gravel bikes and tricycles...there's something for everyone no matter how fast, far or often you ride.

Alongside top cyclists taking to the stage, we'll be showing some fantastic short films that we can't wait to share with you:

Andrew Paddison - Andrew started handcycling late in life and is one of 450 known survivors of the thalidomide catastrophe in the UK. He has completed some of the UK’s biggest cycling challenges and in 2021 became the first handcyclist to cover the epic Race Around Ireland, cycling 1300 miles in just 13 days.

Temi Lateef - Temi is an avid cyclist who completed an epic ride from London to Lagos in 2019 and trained 35 inactive people to cycle from London to Southend over 16 weeks in 2020. Temi came into the sport to help raise money and awareness for humanitarian causes and runs free cycle sessions in London via his non-profit organisation, My Choice.

Gavin Towers - a road cyclist with retinitis pigmentosa (a little-known eye condition that restricts vision to a narrow tunnel), Gavin cycled 4,802 miles around the UK in a mission to test the limits of what’s possible.

Katherine Cory - the co-founder of Shawlands Primary School bike bus, Katherine is a force of nature. Due to her dedicated work on the project, children are now able to cycle to the Shawlands primary safely along the main roads, smiling, cheering and bells ringing!

Abi Smith - Professional cyclist for EF Education - TIBCO-SVB, Abi started her sporting life as a triathlete, falling way behind on the swim leg only to surge to the front of the pack through her bike skills. She started competing on the National Youth Road Series in 2018 and describes herself as a ‘diesel engine’, an all-rounder whose strength lies in her sustainable power, and has represented England in the Commonwealth Games.

Blogger, author and cycling advocate Jools Walker (aka Lady Velo) will host the event alongside local Kendal cyclist Ben Dowman.

The Cycling Session is presented by Rapha and supported by Komoot, Deuter and Trek.

Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the session start time, with a bar available for purchasing drinks.
